Hello DLR families! 📚 We're thrilled that our 2025 Read-A-Thon is underway, and we're counting on you to make it a success. 🌟 If you haven't already, please take a moment to activate your child’s personal reader page by clicking on this link: https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/323132353937?utm=email. It only takes a minute or two, and your support will greatly assist us in meeting our goals. 💪 Also, we know that grandparents are a huge part of many of our children's lives, and they can be a fantastic support in reaching those reading goals. 👵👴 They can help encourage your child by donating to their reading goal. To help them get involved, below is a link you can use to easily email them about supporting our fundraiser: https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/tool/323132353937/1. Together, let's encourage a lifelong passion for reading! 📖 Thank you for your help in reaching our goal. 🙏 David L. Rainer Elementary School

Dear Parents and Family Members: The Title I Program values the importance of a strong home-school connection. As a way to support this belief, we are asking for your help to complete a survey. Your feedback is important to us. Your feedback is anonymous and will be used to improve our parent and family engagement activities. Suggestions on how we can better help our students at home or at school are welcome. The survey will help inform school administration about the effectiveness of your school’s Title I Program and determine ways to improve student learning. If you have questions and/or concerns regarding the Title I Program, please contact the school’s main office at (912)729-9071. We're thrilled to support our friends in the Down Syndrome community, and we need your help! This Friday, March 21st, let's make a statement with the boldest, brightest, craziest, or most mismatched socks you've got! 🧦 Why socks? Because they get people talking! On World Down Syndrome Day, let your socks be a conversation starter. When someone asks about your unique choice, proudly say, “I’m wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome.” Then, seize the opportunity to share important insights about Down syndrome. Join us in spreading awareness and understanding—every step counts! 💙💛

To keep children in schools healthy, Georgia requires children to get vaccines 💉 against certain diseases before going to school 🏫. If you’re unsure of Georgia’s school requirements, now is the time to check with your child’s doctor 🩺, your child’s school 📚, or your local health department 🏥. That way, your child can get any needed vaccines before the back-to-school rush 🎒. See the attached letters for more specific information!
